The Challenge

A federal health research agency relied on aging on-premises data centers and NetApp storage systems to host mission-critical applications and large research datasets. The agency operated in a decentralized federal IT environment, so cloud work required close coordination across internal DevOps, SysOps, SecOps, and NetOps teams. Applications and datasets needed to move to FedRAMP-enabled AWS accounts that supported the agency’s Approved Authority to Operate (ATO), while improving performance, availability, and resilience. The agency needed a trusted cloud advisor to provide architecture guidance, hands-on migration support, and ongoing operations partnership without disrupting research missions.
